Risk Factors

The major risk factors for AD are age and family history. Other possible risk
factors include a serious head injury and lower socioeconomic status. There
is speculation that genetics, environmental influences, weight, educational
level, and blood pressure and blood cholesterol levels are factors that may
increase the risk for AD.
